Welcome
On behalf of Schrocks Mother Goose Hatchery, Inc. we are glad
that you choose us to meet your agricultural needs. We are a family
business which tries to meet the needs of other families, whether
it's a few birds or thousands.
The hatchery was started in 1957 when John Brandeberry's 9 year
old son, Robert, brought five Embden goslings home from school.
At first John did not want those goslings around, but as they grew,
so did his interest and love for geese. The next year John bought
a small incubator and hatched some goose eggs. With more geese and
more eggs, John soon had people calling him for goslings. This led
to the beginning of Brandeberry Goose Hatchery.
In 1966, a nine year old boy went to work for John. His job was
smelling goose eggs to discover if they were rotten before putting
them into the hatcher. As this young man watched goslings peck their
way out of eggs and witnessed the miracle of birth, he was hooked.
That young man was Gregory Troyer.
After 30 years as Brandeberry Goose Hatchery, the business was
sold and its name changed to Culver's Mother Goose Hatchery. This
change was short lived, and Gregory Troyer bought the hatchery in
1989, changing its name to Mother Goose Hatchery, Inc.
We (Devon + Doris Schrock) bought the Hatchery from Mother Goose
and changed the name to Schrock's Mother Goose Hatchery. It is still
a family operation. And out goal is to have happy satisfied customers.
To those of you who are one of our customers, we promise continued
satisfaction. To those who may be new, we welcome your business,
and are sure you will find our stock excellent and our service considerate.
